Amore Screensaver 1.1

Personally I think that if you’re not using your computer, then you should just shut it down. If your computer is just sitting by doing nothing, then it is only wasting energy. I could understand if it were downloading something off the web, or performing a process that takes a long time and you don’t have to sit there looking at the monitor. But if it is not doing anything at all, save some energy and shut it down.

With the eco-minded message out of the way, let’s focus on what the computer does when you’re not working on it. After a set amount of time, a screensaver will appear (assuming of course you did not disable it). There are plenty of screensavers to choose. Some come with the Windows operating system, but most of them are available for download online.

One such screensaver available for download online is the Jochen Kaercher-developed Amore Screensaver that weighs in at less than 2MB. This means the download will complete in no time at all. Once downloaded onto your computer, the software takes but a moment to install. I counted a total of 4 clicks during the installation process.

Once the installation process completes, the Display Properties window pops up and asks you to select Amore Screensaver as your, well, screensaver.

Here’s what the screensaver provides: a good looking animation of Cupid flying around with his bow and arrow. There are also a bunch of devils – when Cupid comes face to face with a little devil, he uses this bow and arrow to shoot them out of the sky. Once Cupid is done with the devils, he flies around a bunch of people sitting on benches. When he shoots his arrow, he makes them fall in love. Whenever Cupid shoots his bow, you can hear a cool sound effect.

That;s about pretty much all there is to say about Amore Screensaver. You can download it and use it free of charge on your Windows-powered computer.

If you want Cupid flying around your monitor shooting devils and making people fall in love, then get Amore Screensaver.
